I'm
going to have a moment of silence for this foundation. Have mercy on me because
I just died and went to make-up heaven. I've been searching for a full courage
foundation for the longest time. Now the foundation I was looking for needed to
work with my problematic skin, meaning I was looking for something my skin
wouldn't react to. Another moment of silence please for the Clinique Beyond
Perfecting foundation and concealer.
The
story goes like this, I went to a Clinique counter looking for a full coverage
foundation that my skin would be happy with, something that wouldn't make me
look like I had applied a second skin to my face, something that wouldn't make
me look caky. I kindly asked the consultant for a full courage foundation. She
pointed out this particular Beyond Perfecting foundation and concealer. As I
had used some of the Clinique foundations before (Even Better, Stay Matt
and the Anti-blemish), I decided it wouldn't hurt to try this puppy. So I told
her my foundation shade for all my other Clinique foundations is Amber or Fresh
amber.
And
it was no surprise that the Beyond Perfecting foundation and concealer had my
Amber shade. She asked me to take a sample just to test it out for a
while.
I
watched her pour the foundation into a little sample container and my first
thought was "this foundation looks too dark for my skin tone". She
quickly assured me not to worry as it would blend in with my skin tone. Not at
all convinced about what she had said, I took my sample home with me.
The
next day I decided to try this foundation for myself. So I dapped a few a few
drops into my foundation brush and started applying to my face. Another moment
of silence please (heaveeen). This foundation blended like no other, it
moisturized my skin and left me looking like a million bucks (if I do say so
myself). It's the full courage I've always wanted and it's a concealer at the
same time, no need to powder a million times throughout the day. This
foundation is more that what I had expected. It's a 2 in 1 (foundation and
concealer), so trust me when I say - out went my concealers. This particular
foundation get a perfect 10 from me. Foundation heaven I tell you.
